Can I be sued or a lien put on my house if my tenant's dog bit a man who tried to pet his dog on my property without permission?

Nori
I live in VA. The home I rent is in PA. We have been renting the home to the same tenant for over 20 years (he has only had the dogs on the property for about 6 years or so now). A couple of months or so ago, the dogs were in a fenced in backyard, unable to get out. The person Suing decided to try and pet the dogs without permission (these dogs are big and kinda mean looking ) and the dog bit his finger. Now he is suing Us and not the Tenant. He claims he filed a police report and etc, but he won't give us the case report. Also, he and a lawyer I can't find or look up to call sent us a document saying that we could settle out of court for 174k dollars.
